Geology, Geological Engineering and Geophysics Graduate Programs
Michigan Tech
  Students now in the program.
Essa Gross is a BS graduate of the University of Arizona. Her interest is hydrological hazards and she did her PC service in Juigalpa, Nicaragua beginning in August 2005, and ending in November of 2007. She will then return to Michigan Tech to complete her MS .
John Lyons is a BS graduate of SW Missouri St and an MS graduate of University of Idaho. His interest is volcanic hazards, and did his PC service from May 2005 until July 2007 in Guatemala, at Panimaché on the slopes of Fuego Volcano. John will be completing his PhD work, based in part on his PC experience beginning in September 2007.

York Lewis is a BS graduate of the University of Arizona. His interest is Landslide hazards and he did his PC service from September 2005 until November 2007 in La Palma, El Salvador.
Armeda Van Dam is a BS graduate from Humboldt State University. Her interest is tropical lakes and she did her PC service in Olomega, El Salvador from September 2005 until December 2006.

R Adam Blankenbicker is a BS graduate of the University of Rhode Island. His interest is in volcanic hazards and his PC assignment began in El Faro, Guatemala, below Santiaguito Volcano in April 2006.

Jemile Erdem is a BS graduate from Lewis & Clark College. Her interest is geophysics applied at volcanoes. She completed an internship at Colima Volcano from August to November 2006. Her PC assignment at Panimaché on the slopes of Fuego Volcano in Guatemala began January 2007.
Hans Lechner is a BA graduate from Humboldt State University. His interest is in mudflow and landslide hazards. His PC assignment will begin September 2007 in El Salvador.
Karinne Knutsen is a BS graduate from University of Washington and an MS graduate from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Her interest is in geological natural hazards. Her PC assignment began in May 2006 and she will work on volcanic and landslide hazards at Pueblo Nuevo near La Yeguada Volcano.
Ingrid Fedde is a BS graduate from Colorado School of Mines. Her interest is in volcanic hazards and she expects to begin her Peace Corps field service after September 2007.
Jesse Silverman is a BS graduate from the University of Wisconsin Madison. He is interested in geological hazards assessment, is doing an internship in Mexico for Fall 2007 and will begin his PC assignment in Guatemala in January 2008.

Julie Herrick is a BS graduate of Smith College, Northampton, MA.  She is interested in volcanic hazards and will begin her PC training in August 2007 in Panama.

Kyle Brill is a graduate of Augustana College, Rock Island, IL.  He is interested in volcanic hazards and has done an internship at Popocatepetl Volcano in Mexico in Summer 2007.  He expects to get a PC assignment after January 2008.
Randy Fish is a BS graduate of California State Univ-Chico.  He is interested in hydrogeological hazards and expects to get a PC assignment soon.
