What are Some Additional Benefits?

Students participating in Michigan Tech's Master's International Program in Mitigation of Geological Natural Hazards select to receive either an MS in Geology, Geological Engineering and Geophysics as well as all of the benefits associated with Peace Corps service. Peace Corps benefits include transportation to and from the country, a monthly living allowance, a $6,075 readjustment allowance disbursed when the student completes two years of Peace Corps service, medical care and coverage while a Peace Corps volunteer, and 24 vacation days per year.

In addition, returning Peace Corps volunteers who wish to gain employment with the federal government receive noncompetitive eligibility for federal jobs.
